      Mrs. Lydia Allen, 80, widow of George Allen, died Saturday at her home in the first district. The funeral and burial were at 2:30 o’clock Sunday afternoon at the Crain Hill cemetery in Van Buren county. Born in Van Buren county September 13, 1866, Mrs. Allen was a daughter of Jasper Mayfield and Mary Jane Hillis Mayfield; survivors include two sons, Frank Allen of McMinnville and Jack Allen of Nashville; four sisters, Mrs. Emmie Barnes of McMinnville, Mrs. Walter Sparkman of Doyle, Mrs. Ozelle Rutledge of Campaign, and Mrs. Lou Groves of Laurelburg; and a brother, Jack Mayfield of this county. Arrangements by the High Funeral company.
