      Information on Groves;

      Audley Harrison, sr., his daughter Saphrona Harrison, married John Groves. (you have the list of their children).

      Their daughter, Mary Martha Groves, born ca. 1837, married George Akeman in Warren Co. TN. The only names I have of their children is, S. B. Akeman and J. F. Akeman. (will check through all my notes later, as I beleive there is more children from this marriage).
      Mary Martha next married George Grove (it was listed without the "s") may have been a typo, or they started leaving the "s" off. George Groves age in 1880 was 37, Mary Martha's age 43. they are listed as husband and wife. Their children listed, 1880 in Texas Co. MO.

      Jenny Grove age 10, born in MO.
      Julia Grove age 7 born in MO.
      Claiborn Grove age 5 born in MO.
      George Grove age 2 born in MO.

      Listed as George Grove stepchildren

      S. B. Akeman age 23 born in TN.
      J. F. Akeman age 20 born in TN.

      John Groves, (Saphrona's husband) was living with John Cunningham and wife Julia, which is probably spelled July in other documents, as its John Groves daughter.

      There is one other family of Groves Im studying in Texas Co. Mo.

      Hi David,
      I will be awhile getting a chart made for G. W. Grove, as have ran into a snag...

      There was a letter found in Nellie (Laurence) Harrisons papers, it was written in 1989 and is from Georges second family (he remarried after Mary died and had more children. In the letter his granddaughter asks for a picture of George and a picture of his mother who was a "Mary Cunningham".....I think the grand daughter has confused his mother with his wife, but can't find the writter of the letter, she was old when she wrote it, so may have died...but anyhow, I've got some searching to do.
      We know Georges parents, but will back track again and see if something was missed.
