- Kathleen Hefft, 95, of Cameron, died Sunday, June 30, 2013, in a Cameron nursing facility. Funeral services will be 10 a.m., Wednesday, July 3, at Marek-Burns-Laywell Funeral Home with Rev. Jim Lafferty officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery.
Mrs. Hefft was born in Moody, Texas, to the late Waymon D. and Lois (Loving) Hennessee. She graduated as Salutatorian of Eddy High School. She was married to Alvin Hefft. She retired from the Milam County Clerk's office and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Cameron.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Alvin; an infant daughter, Joy; and sisters, Thelma Elliott and Berta Mae Watkins.
Survivors include her son, Al Hefft and wife, Cynthia, of Cameron; two granddaughters; two great-grandchildren; brother, Dennis Hennessee, of Palm Springs, Calif.; sister, Dorothy Marek, of Fort Worth; other relatives and many friends.
