"CASON SWINDELL (b.c. 1776, d. 1 April 1839, White County, Tennessee), son of CALEB SWINDELL, SR., married ELIZABETH CONDREY (b.c. 1780, d. February 1850). By October 1805, he was living in Orange County, NC and remained there until sometime bewteen 1810 and 1820 when he appeared in the Tennessee 1820 census.
Cason is listed as being 26-45 and living with 1 female 26-45, 2 males under 10, 1 male 16-26, 1 female under 10, and 2 females 10-16. His known children were:
DIANA (b. 1801, NC, d. 1851, White Tennessee, md WILLIAM KNOWLES);
JOHN (b. 12 March 1809,NC, d. 7 October 1883, White County Tennessee, md. ELIZABETH ROBERTS - family researchers do not agree on whether JOHN is the son of CASON or CHRISTOPHER SWINDELL);
CASON, JR., (b. 1812, Tennessee, md. WENONA ELIZABETH _____ and RUTHA ROBERTS);
CHRISTOPHER C., (b. 3 January 1813, Tennessee, d. 29 December 1886, White County, Tennessee, md. ELIZA WEBB); and

- Last Will & Testament of Cason Swindle
"I, Cason Swindle, being of sound & perfect mind and memory, do make and publish, this my last will and testament in manner and form following
First, I give and bequeath to my beloved wife Elizabeth Swindle the casey mare, I do also give and bequeath unto my youngest son
Samuel C. Swindle the filly mare, to his own right and property. I also give and bequeath to my youngest son Samuel C. all the farming tools and shop tools to be his write and property to have to hold forever. And it is my desire that my beloved wife should have all houses and lands, and other forehold estate, for the necessary support of his preceding her natural life or widow hood, it is my desire that my beloved wife and youngest son settle and pay all my just debts and demands and I will that the money note that Mister Farris owes, pay as far as it will go and further after the death of my beloved wife I further give and devise unto my youngest son, Samuel C. his heirs and assign all that my (illegible) or tenement, situated lying and being in the State of Tennessee and County of White together with all the stock whatsoever there be whatsoever
to hold to him the said Samuel C. his heirs and assigns forever and further give and bequeath unto my youngest so our bed and furniture our pair of firedogs and our pot and and one skillet on oven. It is my request once again that my beloved wife possess and hold all that there is as her own right till she is done with it, then for the remains of the furniture that is not named above I will that it be valued and divided amongst all the children, Lastly my beloved wife Elizabeth Swindle whom I hereby appoint sole executive of this my last will and testament hereby revoking all former wills by me made. In witness were of I have here unto set my hand seal this November the 16th day,1838.
