      1838-ALLEN Ezekiel - June 13, 1838, proven March 6, 1838

*Thomas G. Webb, DeKalb County historian states that even though the will says Ezekiel or Ezekiah, this is unquestionably the will of Hezekial Allen. Proof of this is in the DeKalb Co. TN administrations, 1838-1846, pages 58 and 94, and in DeKalb Co. TN Deed book A page 489. The date given for signing the will is plainly 12 June 1838. The date of proving the will in court is 6 March 1838. Probably the will was actually signed in 1837. TGW)
