I searched White County Census 1880 and found nobody by last name of Moon and in the1900 I found only Thomas Moon head of household, born April 1873 and married to Hannah born February 1875. In the Warren County Census for 1870, 1880, and 1900 there were no Moon.

I didn't look close enough. All of the children have the same names as on your link so it must be the same Thomas Moon and the Census has the wrong birth date. I have attached you a copy of the White County 1900 Census. I also looked in the Van Buren County Census for 1870, 80, 90, 1900 and found no one by the last name of Moon.
