      Funeral Today For Mr. Byers

      Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock this (Friday) afternoon for Samuel Hand Byars, 76, retired Warren county farmer, who died Tuesday afternoon at 1:06 o'clock at a hospital in Oak Ridge.

      The rites will be conducted at Bluff Springs Church of Christ with John W. High officiating. Burial will be in Webb cemetery. Mr. Byers died in Oak Ridge following an illness of four weeks.

      A native of Warren county and a Bluff Springs farmer for many years, Mr. Byers was born February 27, 1875. His parents were John L. Byers and Melvina Purser Byers and he was married to Miss Ebbie Adcock. She survives. Mr. Byers was a member of the Baptist Church. Survivors, in addition to his wife, are two sons, Herman Byars, Green Hill, and Wade Byars, Oak Ridge; one daughter, Vera Pauline Byars, Oak Ridge; two brothers, George Byars and J.B. Byars, McMinnville; a sister, Mrs. Mollie Womack, McMinnville, and one grandchild, James Byars.

      Arrangements were by High Funeral Home.
