- Funeral for Joe A. Hennessee, 82, Lawton, will be at 3:30 p.m. Monday in the Pentecostal Church of God with the Rev Gerald Bryant, pastor, officiating.
Mr. Hennessee died Saturday in a Lawton hospital after a long illness. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens under the direction of Becker Funeral Home.
He was born Sept. 21, 1907, in Arlington, Texas. He married Sammie E. Clark Oct. 3, 1928 in Lawton; she died June 19,1988. He had been a Lawton resident since 1926.
He was a veteran of World War II. He had worked for Arrow Sign Company for about 35 years as a neon glass man. He was a member of the Pentecostal Church of God.
Survivors include four sons; Gene, Iowa Park, Texas; Jack, Pueblo, Colo; Melvin and Roger, both of Lawton; three daughters: Hazel Stapleton, Pueblo; Joan Buzbee, Marlow; and Sue Brown, Temple, three brothers: John, Lawton; Lawerence, Iowa Park, Texas, and Thurman (Sug), Oakland, Calif; a sister, Else Hogan, Dallas; 31 grandchildren, 56 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
