 | This is the five Brown kids taken about 1943 at Lella (Griffin) Brown's parent's house -- Hale Noah Griffin and Mexie (Mathis) Griffin; Coleman, Coleman County, Texas:
Dan Willis Brown; Don Maynard Brown, Dale Frances Brown (female); Dwane Allen Brown; Doris Ann Brown
Only Dale and I are still living and she is on her last leg in a nursing home in Brenham, Texas. Sometime ago a doctor said he thought she had water on the brain. She refused treatment so is now just a vegetable. So sad. Dale is/was the best of the five Brown kids. She taught Sunday School and played the piano for the children. She was such a kind and nice person. She would never put down another person!!
All five of the Brown kids graduated from college:
Dan Willis Brown 1959, Texas Tech, geology; all four of Dan's sons graduated from college
Don Maynard Brown 1958 graduated from Texas Tech; Dairy Management
Doris Ann Brown: Texas Woman's University 1958; MEd degree 1985 University of Texas Brownsville/Pan American University
Dale Frances Brown Morgan: Lamar University, Beaumont, TX 1976 (she was married when she graduated)
Dwane Allen Brown: University of Texas, Austin; 1964

 | "Bonnie Prince Charlie", The Young (last) Jacobite Pretender Charles Edward Stuart, by Allan Ramsay, painted at Holyrood Palace in Edinburgh, late autumn 1745.
Charles is perhaps best known as the instigator of the unsuccessful Jacobite uprising of 1745, in which he led an insurrection to restore his family to the throne of Great Britain, which ended in defeat at the Battle of Culloden that effectively ended the Jacobite cause. Jacobites supported the Stuart claim due to hopes for religious toleration for Roman Catholics and a belief in the divine right of kings. Charles's flight from Scotland after the uprising has rendered him a romantic figure of heroic failure in some later representations.

 | "The P. G. (Perry Green) Potter Home" Built in 1875-1876 in Dibrell, Warren County, Tennessee by Kitt Swingle for Perry Green Potter.
First, he built a large two story house, then a store, barn and a blacksmith shop.
Aunt Pearl provided this image and tells us that Ma & Pop lived in this house between 1935 to 1937. They then moved to the "Hennessee House" on Main Street (no longer there).
Note: Kitt Zwingle was a 2nd cousin to Ma. Pop was a grandnephew of P.G. Potter and both of whom were named after their antecedent, "Perry Green Magness".

It was found at the center of James Fort, which was established in 1607 along the James River in eastern Virginia.

 | 626 Flagler Boulevard, Lake Park, Florida Mom & Dad's first house in Florida which cost them &17,500. We moved-in during early November, 1957 and as it turned out during an unusual cold spell. I remember freezing my ass off because the house's flooring was terrazzo and there was only ONE wall heater in the entire house. Neither was there air conditioning. I still remember sweating to death during the summer months and through September & October which were the most humid.
Never did like that house...

 | Alnwick Castle, Northumberland, England
Birthplace of Sir Henry Percy (1322-1368)
who is the 19th great grandfather of the grandchildren of Vernie Swindell Byars (1894-1985)
The Percy family benefited from England's wars with Scotland; through his military accomplishments Henry Percy, 1st Baron Percy (1273–1314), enhanced his family's status in northern England. In 1309 he purchased the barony of Alnwick[10] from Bek, and it has been owned by the Percy family, the Earls and later Dukes of Northumberland since.[11] The stone castle Henry Percy bought was a modest affair, but he immediately began rebuilding. Though he did not live to see its completion, the building programme turned Alnwick into a major fortress along the Anglo-Scottish border. His son, also called Henry (1299–1352), continued the building.

 | Althorp House was built by Robert Spencer, 2nd Earl of Sunderland , in 1688 and burial site for Princess Diana
The estate has been the ancestral home of the Spencer family since the 16th century. Their fortune derived from its earliest known ancestor, Sir John Spencer of Wormleighton , Warwickshire, who bought Althorp in 1508 from the Catesby family with the huge profits from his sheep-rearing business. The house was originally a red brick Tudor building but its appearance was radically altered in the 18th century when the architect Henry Holland was commissioned to make extensive changes starting in 1788.
The interior of the house is generally considered its strongest asset as the Spencer family has assembled an impressive collection of portrait art including several pieces painted by the Flemish master Anthony van Dyck. One of the rooms in the estate is called the Queen Mary bedroom, which was used by Queen Mary and George V during their visit to the estate in 1913.
