Notes:
Jeremiah Wilcher's son William is my 3rd great grandfather and you have his name as William George; however, my g-grandfather was named after him and his name was William Gray Wilcher and by stories handed down I am almost certain that Jeremiah's son William was named William Gray just like his grandson.

5. | Jane "Jenny" May Cummings was born in 1774 in Jefferson County, Georgia; died in 1831 in (Jefferson County) Georgia; was buried in Euphrates Baptsit Church Cemetery, Edgehill, Glascock County, Georgia. Other Events and Attributes:
- Alt Birth: 1755
- Alt Death: 1839, (Jefferson County, Georgia)
Notes:
Trying to find documentation on the maiden name of Jane/Jenney Wilcher (born between 1761-1764 in probably Virginia and died Dec 1831 in Jefferson County, Georgia) who was married to Jeremiah Wilcher. Some researchers have her maiden name as Cummings; however, I believe differently because some family tree postings of who her mother was: had her dying 15 or more years before Jane/Jenney documented birth year (1830 Federal Census).
Does anyone have documentation on who Jane/Jenney might be.

Melba McGahee has added generously to our knowledge of this family. Thank you Miss Melba!
According to Miss Melba's mother & her Aunts, Jinny/Jane/Jenny died about a year after her husband, and was actually buried in the field a little way from the Euphrates church.

I formerly had listed two other children, Nancy & Larkin. Miss Melba has shed doubt on them being of this family, so I list them below.
Nancy Wilcher
Larkin Walker Wilcher aka John Larkin Wilcher (m: Lucretia "Cressy" Morgan on 6 Jul 1828)
This Larkin was born 1798-1799 & also lived in Glasscock County, Georgia, USA. (1850, 1860, 1870 & 1880 Federal Census.) He had children named the same as this line of Wilcher's. (Jordan, Jeremiah, William, etc.) Several online genealogies give his birthdate as: 5 Jan 1797, date of death: 21 Aug 1890.
His son, another Larkin, is listed in the book "1864 census for re-organizing the Georgia militia" as being 16 years, 10 months old at that date, and is listed as a "Planter".
