His widow, Mary, applied 7 Jun 1844 Warren Co, TN aged about 69, and declared they had married in 1792, that he had died 19 Jun 1840. Children named were: Elkins b 12 Oct 1783, Afee b 10 Mar 1786, Temperance b 28 Feb 1788; and James C. was his 1st child by his 2nd wife and was b 10 Mar 1793, then Elizabeth, b 3 Sep 1795, Jene b 18 Jan 1798, William Bradford HAND b 2 Jan 1801, Asenath b 27 Mar 1804, Harriet b 16 Dec 1809 & Nanch [Nancy?
