My Thomas Durham is the son of Thomas Durham and Rebecca Allen.
Thomas Durham, Sr. is possibly the son of Thomas Durham and Peggy Lindsley. Thomas Durham, Sr. died in Smith Co, TN. Will is in Smith Co Will book. Dates Oct 4, 1823 Probated Jan.2, 1824.
Thomas Durham, Jr was born 1776 and died in 1856 in DeKalb Co. TN. His first wife was Sally Haden, born 16 Nov 1783 in NC and died in between 182-1816 in Smith Co. TN. Second wife was Elizabeth Chiles Johnson. Daughter of Allen and Mary Chiles Johnson. Elizabeth Chiles Johnson was born 11Jan 1795 in Mecklenburg Co, NC and died 9 Aug 1870 in Dekalb Co. TN. Thomas Durham married Elizabeth Chiles Johnson in Rutherford Co. TN 20 April 1816.
Children with Sally Haden are: Nancy /durham, Joseph Haden Durham, Asenith H Durham, Teresa Haden Durham, Thomas Allen Durham.
Children by Elizabeth chiles Johnson are: Sarah J. Durham ( I am missing some pages, I think) I know that they had Jerusha Candace Durham and she married James Russell Tompkins.
I will have to look for the rest of the children. My papers are all mixed up and scattered. Hope that helps you. Thomas Durham and Elizabeth Chiles Johnson are buried on what used to be the family land in Dekalb Co TN. near Keltonburg. I have been there, but I do not know know who owns the land today. I did make some pictures. The house Thomas Durham built, parts were still standing in the lates 1970s.
