There is a James Wright of Bounty Land Warrant 21039-80-55 and Widow's Claim 11898 in the War of 1812 Pension files with the following data:

James Wright was married 1804 at Rockingham County, Virginia, to Martha Cox, resided on August 12, 1814, at Henry County, Virginia, and died on January 3 or February 1, 1815, at Norfolk, Virginia.

Martha (Cox) Wright was born about 1793 or between 1788 and 1793, resided before 1840 at Virginia, and resided about 1840 & 1850 & 1853 & 1859 & 1866 & 1868 at Van Buren County, Tennessee.

James and Martha had the following children:
1. Barzilla Wright,
2. Elizabeth Wright, and
3. James Wright.

I have not traced this Wright line further, but would much appreciate your sharing what you have on their descendants and how you identified his father as William Wright.

James married Martha "Patsy" Cox in 1804 in Rockingham County, Virginia. Martha was born in 1790 in Commonwealth of Virginia; was buried in 1872 in (Van Buren County) Tennessee. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]

1. Barzillia Wright was born on 20 Mar 1811 in Henry County, Virginia; died in 21MAY 1904 in Moniteau County, Missouri; was buried in Flag Spring Cemetery, California, Moniteau County, Missouri.
2. James E. Wright, Jr. was born in 1812 in Commonwealth of Virginia; died before 1860 in (White County, Tennessee).
3. Seth F. Wright was born on 20 Feb 1822 in (White County) Tennessee; died on 22 Nov 1900 in (White County) Tennessee; was buried in Mount Pisgah Cemetery, White County, Tennessee.
