Biography

Robert Gresham (aka Grissom) was born after 1754, and died after May 10, 1796, in Montgomery county, Virginia. Robert enlisted in the Militia of Montgomery county, during the American Revolutionary War. He served in the companies of Captain John Preston and John Taylor. [1] Robert is honored by the Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution as Ancestor #: A134751. Their records indicate that his wife's name was Katherine. Application for membership in the Society have been made by the descendants of his daughter, Ann Elizabeth Grissom, who married John Henry Price and of his daughter William Grissom (aka Gresham) who married Mary "Polly" Robertson. His DAR records are found under the spelling of his surname as "Gresham."

On December 2, 1791, in Montgomery county Virginia, Anne Grissom, daughter of Robert Grissom married [John] Henry Price, son of Henry Price. [2]

On May 3, 1794, in Montgomery county, Virginia, Nancy Grissom, daughter of Robert Grissom, married Chrisian Price [3]
