1. Joseph (Joe) Dennis. Born abt 1750 in Ireland. Joseph (Joe) died abt 1842; he was 92.
came from Ireland to Virginia
abt 1798 when Joseph (Joe) was 48, he married Mary Ann Combs? name Ann Bybee? Born in Kentucky?
Life Stories: she claimed to be Scotch-Irish
based on the birthdates of her children, she must have been several years younger than Joseph.
1 states that she was raised in Kentucky.
They had the following children:
i. Neal McCan (Nealey). Born on Nov 27, 1803 in Warren Co., Tennessee. Neal McCan (Nealey) died in Temple, Bell Co., Texas on Jan 14, 1874; he was 70.
ii. Jonathan. Born abt 1808 in Tennessee. ref 53 1/31/1799, Warren TN. Jonathan died in Callahan Or Shackelford, Texas on Apr 28, 1889; he was 81.
Research: 1850 Hickory Co., Missouri census lists Jonathan age 42 b ca 1808 in Tennessee. Wife Mary age 42 b Tennessee.
Children:
Elcana age 17 b TN, Barnet age 15, Eleanor age 12, William age 10 birthplace illegible, Elizabeth age 7, Hilley age 5 (listed as female), and Eaby age 2.
Jonathan second married Mary Barnett?.
iii. Joseph. Born on Dec 10, 1810 in Tennessee. bp 1860 Bell Co Texas census [not confirmed]. Joseph died in Bell Co., Texas on Oct 19, 1894; he was 83. Occupation: Farmer (1860 Bell Co Texas Census).
iv. Hannah. Born abt 1814 in Tennessee.

vi. Audley Edwin. Born on Jun 19, 1819 in Warren Co., Tennessee. Audley Edwin died on Nov 17, 1899; he was 80.
Research: 1850 Hickory Co., Misouri census lists Audley age 32, Rena age 31, children Ann age 10, Elizabeth age 9, Charity age 6, Nety age 4 and Joan age 1
Audley Edwin married Rena E (Dennis). Born in 1819 in Tennessee. betw Jun 23 and Sep 21, 1819.
